Is Google a Government Spook?
|
A former undercover CIA agent said that Google is secretly working with the spy agency. According to Robert David Steele, who was once the second highest-ranking civilian in the U.S. Marine Corps, Google is "in bed with" and working in tandem with the CIA. Steele cites his sources within the CIA and his contacts at Google. (Steele also says the World Trade Center buildings collapsed from placed charges, so set your phasers on WTF.) This isn't the first time the search giant has been suspected of wrongdoing. The publishers of Alex Jones' Terror Storm, think that Google intentionally buried their video about the Bush administration's "Machiavellian Borg Hive drive to burn down the Middle East, usher in total and generational war, trash the Constitution here in America, and build a police state of high tech control." Insinuations that Google works with the government aren't new. And of course, most claims of Google censorship involve the search engine being censored. But Google observer and book author Stephen Arnold of Arnold IT says Google's technology could be used for everything from tracking terrorist e-mails to decoding trend data. "Say somebody writes a document about blowing up subways, and all we know is it came through an e-mail, one of those crappy free e-mail programs," Arnold told me earlier this year. "And they may make a reference to a subway stop near a courthouse, and they make reference to other trains that share the track. There are no explicit geocoding clues there, you see. There are only notions that are shadows of a geocode. So these algorithms that Google is working on can examine and provide a list of cities that have a subway station with multiple trains near a courthouse. You don't need to name the city of New York or the train or the fact that since 9/11 multiple trains share that courthouse station in lower Manhattan. But these algorithms can recurse and iterate the info in that relaxed neural net to offer a list of candidate cities." Google watcher and columnist Paul Strassman, who has worked as a senior information manager for multiple government agencies, including the DOD, said Google's skill at rapidly deploying prefabricated data centers around the world can and should be ported to the military. |

Wow. We are getting extreme here. Not unbelieveable, but certainly not a lot of evidence either. Not like obtaining evidence would be easy based on the whole premise of the email so it's a bit of a catch-22. If your site's traffic magically drops over the next fews days, we'll know why.

Where's my tin foil hat?

With the USA quickly descending into a pit of totalitarianism, a la George Orwell's 1984 and Brave New World, this would'nt surprise me in the least. P.S. Your tin foil hat will be found on top of your ignorance, complacency and reliance on CNN/ABC/CBS and whatever else passes for the 'free press' these days.

I think you guys are watching to many 24 re-runs.

Dear Merovingian, we have strict standards for literary references and posturing on this blog. Orwell's 1984 posited that a single, all-knowing Big Brother would watch our every move and separate us through fear. On the contrary, Huxley's Brave New World showed us a pornographic future where we welcomed our oppressors as we scromped our way to happiness. Truth concealed versus too much truth revealed. Captive beings vs. trivial beings. Please revise your obnoxious comment and have it on my desk by tomorrow morning. Yours in centrifugal bumblepuppy, -s.

People are so naive. This isn't even a story. Google, microsoft, yahoo, AT&T and every entity that allows 2 or more individuals to communicate ARE watched and you're so naive to think otherwise. Do I like it? No. What can I do about it? Nothing except avoid plotting a terrorism attack!! Simply live with it, or live with the consequences. You may call me a conspiracy theorist but that doesn't change the fact that goverments have the means and use them everyday without asking me or you or anyone if they can do so. Wouldn't you if you had the power? This world is run by humans and we all do evil things (not mistakes). So you know where they shove their "checks and balances"?

As one of the first people to catch this story in the media (eight MONTHS ago) I've composed an extended response to the renewed attention it's gotten. http://www.homelandstupidity.us/2006/10/30/google-intelligence-cooperation-reprise/

The New York Times, BBC and other organizations hate Bush so much, there would be no way they'd let this go if it was true. Its pathetic, the idea that the Bush administration a. has the power to, b. is smart enough to, launch some massive plan of removing democracy or freedom - firstly, no motive or evidence. As for Google, just don't give it your data if you're stupid enough to believe this crap.

There are a lot of people, in and out of the government who think the Towers fell from placed charges. It's not impossible and under less emotional circumstances, people might look harder and more realistically at whether or not it's true. I have no idea if it's so or not, myself, but I do know it's usually pure fear and emotion and "lack of data" ( ie something you haven't been told yet) that makes people react so strongly and repeat blindly that it's simply not so. Face it, folks, it could be true. I read all the mags you read the week after 9/11( Time, People, Newsweek etc) and I remember one of the workers in the building saying in an interview that they had more evacuation drills in the two weeks previous to 9/11 than they had in the last TWO YEARS. Straight from a victim's mouth, so I believe him. Who knew what and when? Did the gov have important specifics or did they have non-specific info and didn't know what it meant?

We may all argue about the question of,were explosives used to bring down the TWIN TOWERS.Now explain to me how BUILDING #7 came down in the same manner, this building was not struck by an airplane!

There are two types of people in the world. 1. Those who still believe the official story. 2. Those who have spent two minutes looking into World Trade Center Building 7. http://www.wtc7.net

If we are to believe that the largest internet search engines, sucessful in their own right because of the power and speed that their cognitive search technologies work, are assisting government entities in dissementating leads from the billions of bits of info that the government collects, I don't have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is the thought that they are checking my email. If the internet is going to be run under an "everyone's suspect" premise. I'm going back to the USPS. At least with a sealed envelope, I have some legal protection.

I think that the Government set up this article to see if we are catching on to its technology abuse. Good thinkin.

Well, I am a big believer in the conspiracy theories, because I think the term conspiracy theory is used when people get too close to the truth. I believe there are secret societies around that only the rich and powerful are allowed. I believe these people get together and plot how to become richer and more powerful. The good thing is no human can overpower nature; and I believe one of these days the forces of nature will level the playing field. I am not talking about this fictional place call heaven.

Steele also says the World Trade Center buildings collapsed from placed charges, so set your phasers on WTF Actually, after seeing the film made by spare change, and seeing the buildings collapse in person, it actually makes more sense that they were brought down with charges.
