UPDATE: Google's Gmail team has altered its labels feature in a major way, moving the list of labels up in the left of the in-box, and adding drag and drop and other navigation capabilities. The Gmail team has also jettisoned its Right-Side Labels Gmail Labs feature.

Google is again having trouble with its SMS text message tool, the experimental feature in the Gmail Chat menu that lets users send text messages from their computers to their contacts' mobile phones. How much more of this will Google stand before it nixes the feature entirely?

Google lets users become Gmail ninjas with a new online tutorial on how to better manage Gmail accounts. Why offer such a guide? Besides the time and management issues, my guess is Google's Gmail team needs to get more people using their tools. 1024 printable versions are available, so you'd better hurry.
