IBM's support for cloud computing should foster greater good will among businesses where IBM is already a known entity. For that reason alone, Google would do well to get further in bed with IBM.

Not to Rain on the Cloud, but Google Gdrive Is Hardly All-PowerfulGdrive, if it is what it's cracked up to be, could be the new place where Google gathers information about what we like to do from a productivity standpoint -- what Flickr photos, YouTube videos and Docs files we like to play with or share. That's another avenue Google could use in its pursuit of ways to harvest data to provide better ads. August 12, 2008
